Join us in celebrating the remarkable legacy of Captain Wayne Brooks Jr., an exemplary firefighter and community hero. At the Captain Wayne Brooks Jr. Foundation, we carry forward his dedication to service through various community initiatives, helping families of Newark, NJ and surrounding communities affected by fires, and including our prestigious St. Benedict’s Preparatory fencing scholarship program.
Through our commitment to supporting families affected by fires, we have proudly assisted 23 families to date. In moments of sudden loss and uncertainty, we’ve provided immediate essentials — including toiletries, clothing, shoes, baby supplies, and thoughtful gifts — offering comfort, dignity, and hope when it’s needed most. Every act of care honors Firefighter Wayne’s legacy of service and reminds families affected by fires they are not alone.
Our mission is to provide compassionate support to families in Newark, NJ, and surrounding areas impacted by the devastation of fires, offering hope and relief in times of crisis. Additionally, we are devoted to uplifting the next generation by awarding Fencing Scholarships to Wayne’s Alma Mater, St. Benedict’s Preparatory, ensuring his passion for service and mentorship continues to inspire and empower future leaders.
We can make a difference in the lives of many, turning our grief into action and honoring a life well-lived with every step we take forward.
